ASLO 2024 Meeting

PART #1

The summer meeting of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography has just begun in Madison, Wisconsin. The event kicked off with a guided tour of the arboretum of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, led by Susan Carpenter, Wisconsin Native Plant Garden Curator. This wonderful location features  hardy trees, shrubs and vines, as well as a unique native plant garden representing native plant communities of southern Wisconsin.

During the meeting, sessions focus on the ongoing climate changes and how the world must adapt to this rapid shift. Participants delve into various topics, including the impact of climate change on ecosystems, strategies for mitigating adverse effects, and innovative solutions for sustainability. Experts from diverse fields will share their latest research findings and discuss practical approaches to address these urgent challenges.

This is a great opportunity to meet scientists from all over the world and share our ongoing and future research!
